What Are The Negroni Cocktail Ingredients?

The three key ingredients needed to make a Negroni are Campari, Gin, and Vermouth. The Negroni cocktail ingredients are added in equal measure. 

 

The Negroni Cocktail was invented over one hundred years ago in Florence, Italy. Since the Negroni Cocktail was created all those years ago, it has gone from strength to strength, and that are now countless Negroni recipe variations more than any other cocktail. 

 

The Classic Negroni Recipe

The Classic Negroni is the one that started it all. When Count Negroni asked the barman in Florence to swap out soda and instead use Gin, he created a truly timeless cocktail. Try swapping the cocktail recipe below with different Gin and Vermouth types to find the best taste for yourself. 

 

Ingredients

  • 1 Ounce Gin
  • 1 Ounce Campari
  • 1 Ounce sweet vermouth
  • 1 Garnish: orange peel

Instructions

1. Add the gin, Campari and sweet vermouth to a mixing glass filled with ice, and stir until well-chilled.

2. Pour the Negroni into a glass filled with large ice cubes.

3. Garnish with an orange peel.
